Record vs. Rhetoric: Only One Candidate Has Fought For The Unborn
Rick Saccone is the only candidate in this race that shares the values of Southwestern Pennsylvania
CANONSBURG, Pa. – Today an article in The Weekly Standard finally revealed Conor Lamb’s real stance on abortion. Lamb said that he would have voted against a bipartisan bill banning elective abortions after 20 weeks, the point at which a fetus can feel pain. He also said that he "would not describe himself as pro-life."
These comments are outrageously out of touch with the district he is running to represent. They are also far outside Pennsylvania’s mainstream and to the left of Sen. Bob Casey.
Unlike Conor Lamb, Rick Saccone has a strong record of fighting for the most vulnerable among us. While serving in State House, Rick was a leader in the successful push to shutter unsafe abortion clinics in the wake of the Kermit Gosnell atrocities. Rick was also a sponsor of the 20 week abortion ban, a bill ultimately vetoed by liberal Governor Tom Wolf. Rick’s dedication to fighting for life has earned him the endorsement of most major pro-life groups in the area, including National Right To Life and CatholicVote.org.
“I have spent my entire life fighting to protect the most vulnerable among us. In Congress, I will remain committed to ensuring every child is given the right to life."
