Rick’s Record: Unparalleled National Security Experience Our Nation Needs
Proven leader, dedicated public servant, and military veteran running for PA’s 18th Congressional District

CANONSBURG, Pa. – While you’re enjoying the Olympic games with your family, many are working behind the scenes to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for spectators and Olympians. Twice, Rick Saccone fought to keep the Olympic games safe by serving on counter-terror task forces for both the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles and the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul, South Korea.

Rick Saccone has unparalleled national security experience. As a civilian, Rick served as a senior counter intelligence agent assigned to the United States Army in Iraq, identifying, capturing, and interrogating insurgents. His experience also includes being the only United States citizen living in North Korea that negotiated with the North Korean regime on a daily basis. As a counter-terror task force veteran as well, Rick Saccone understands the complexity of national security policy and anti-terror measures. During his time on the Olympic counter-terror task forces, Rick gained invaluable experience in counter-terror policy that led to his teachings of global terrorism as a college professor.

“While serving on the counter-terror taskforce at the Olympic games in 1984 and 1988, I enjoyed the opportunity to preserve the safety of Olympians and attendees at one of the most watched worldwide events,” said Rick Saccone. “The complexity and importance of national security is heightened at large-scale, world events such as the Olympic games, and I gained indispensable insight on national security measures during my time on the taskforces.”
